Have these four things ready
- Booking referenceSix characters, on your confirmation email. Sometimes called a PNR or record locator. Without it everything takes three times longer.
- Passenger names exactly as ticketedAs printed on the government ID being used for travel, not a shortened version.
- Your target dates, plus a fallbackHaving a second acceptable date roughly doubles the chance of finding a good fare on the first call.
- A payment methodFare differences are charged at the moment of change. If you have to go find a card mid-call, the fare can move.

What a change actually costs
Three separate numbers, and conflating them is why quotes feel unpredictable.
| Component | What it is |
|---|---|
| Airline change fee | Eliminated on most standard economy and above at large US carriers. Still charged on basic economy where changes are allowed at all, and common on international and partner-operated tickets. |
| Fare difference | Usually the biggest number. If today's price for your new date is higher than what you paid, you pay the gap. If it is lower, most fares do not refund the difference. |
| Our advisory fee | Our charge for handling it. Separate from anything the airline charges, and stated in full before we proceed. |
Why phone sometimes beats the website
Not magic, and not a claim to secret inventory. Three practical reasons:
- Partner and interline options. Airline websites usually show only their own metal. An agent can look at what partner carriers have on the same route.
- Split and creative routings. When the direct flight is full, a one-stop through a different hub often is not. Self-service change tools rarely surface these.
- Complex itineraries. Multi-city bookings, mixed cabins and tickets with a partner-operated segment frequently error out online and have to be handled by a human anyway.
What we cannot do
Worth being straight about, because it saves you a call:
- We cannot waive an airline's change fee or fare difference. Those are set by the carrier.
- We cannot change a passenger name on most fares — that is a carrier restriction, not a service limitation.
- We do not process refund or baggage claims. Those go to the airline directly.
How the call goes. You give the reference and the dates you want. We check what is available and what the fare rules allow. We quote the total — airline charges plus our fee — and you decide. Nothing is charged and nothing is changed until you say yes.
When changing is the wrong move
If the change fee plus fare difference lands above the price of a fresh one-way, buying new is simply cheaper. We will tell you when that is the case rather than process the more expensive option. The catch to weigh: abandoning one segment can cancel the rest of the booking, including your return.
One call, one agent, a clear price before we touch the booking.

Frequently asked questions
Usually under ten minutes once we have your booking reference and target dates. Complex international itineraries or partner-operated segments can take longer because availability has to be confirmed with more than one carrier.
Often yes, though it depends on the fare. Changing one leg can trigger a recalculation of the whole itinerary, which sometimes costs more than expected. We price it before doing anything.
Most non-refundable fares do not refund the difference — you keep the flight, not the change. Some fare types issue residual value as a credit. We check which applies to your ticket.
Sometimes, and often not. Basic economy is the most restricted fare in the market and many carriers prohibit changes outright. We check the specific fare rules rather than guessing from the cabin name.
No. If we cannot do anything useful for your ticket, there is nothing to charge for. Our fee is quoted and taken only when you approve an action.
